  1. Try the Kobe beef sliders at Bardogs downtown. They are great!!

    • The sliders at Bardog aren’t made with Kobe beef. Rather, in quoting the menu, they’re made with “100% fresh Ground Chuck” and I don’t believe it’s Kobe. As someone who has had a Kobe beef burger, there’s a distinct difference in taste between it and “regular” beef. Besides, if the sliders had Kobe in them, they would cost a lot more.

  2. Neils has a good burger also The Bayou Bar & Grill and the Green Beetle

  3. Do you have a Facebook page or Twitter? Would love to follow you there, I’m on my iPhone and love reading your stuff!

  4. Sure do. The links for FB, Twitter and RSS should appear on the top right of each page of the blog.

  5. GREAT REVIEW! I totally agree with pretty much all you said in your post, especially at the end of your article. Thank you, your post is very valuable as always. Keep up the good work! You’ve got +1 more reader of your great blog:) Isabella S.

  6. I have two suggestions for you, coming from opposite ends of the spectrum:

    1. Cafe Eclectic – Their hamburger features Neola Farms Angus beef. The quality, in my opinion, is on par with the Majestic Grille.

    2. Big Burger – If you don’t have an aversion for going to the “hood” in North Memphis, head there to try their signature burger. It’s not the best looking burger you’ll ever see, but it’s really good. Check out my review to learn more about it. http://kensfoodfind.blogspot.com/2010/12/big-burger.html

  7. Hey Seth. This is Kevin from Burn My Mouth. First off, I want to say I love the blog. I had the same vision with doing the same thing a few years ago but went with the hot and spicy foods instead. Glad someone else picked up the idea and went with it! Lots of great burgers around town and you’re doing a good job in finding them. Here are my top 3 suggestions, which you already have on your list but I suggest they make the top ASAP.
    1. Kooky Canuck – This is my absolute favorite burger in Memphis. If they get it perfectly medium, there is no comparison anywhere else. Not to mention how awesome the Canuck is already; the burger just makes the experience that much better to me.
    2. Off The Hoof – The burger selection here is top-knotch. I haven’t found this unique of a burger menu anywhere else in Memphis. It’s really cheap, too and their fry orders can feed 2 people. They have a burger that is similar to a Juicy Lucy but if you get it, be careful biting into it. I literally shot cheese half way across the dining area. No joke.
    3. South of Beale – I am not a fan of this place as an establishment. Very overpriced and crowded but they have great beer on tap, the location is perfect for my tastes and the burger is outstanding. Highly recommend checking it out.

Again, great work and great blog. Keep it up! Also, let me know if you ever come across a burger that would be blog-worthy on Burn My Mouth. I am always on the quest for the hot and spicy!

    • @burnmymouth Thanks Kevin. I really appreciate your taking the time to write in. I’m a follower of yours as well. I love some good spicy food. I like it just hot enough make my eyes water and sinuses open without taking away from the taste of the dish. I’m glad you posted about The Emerald Thai. It’s fairly close to where I live and My wife and I have enjoyed it for years. They have the best Spicy Chicken Fried Rice and Pad Thai. I Tried the beef salad dish after reading your post. I didn’t order it as spicy as I’m sure your’s was, but it was awesome. A great dish. I really need to get to kookycanuck soon. My work buddy’s went without me a couple of weeks ago when I was off for some reason. None of them wanted to write a guest post, however. I’ll make it my mission to get there before Thanksgiving if possible. I’ve heard so many great things about Off the Hoof as well. Sounds like a good place to take the family. I’ve been saving southofbeale for howellmarketing and crew. Amy’s the first person to tell me how great it is. We’re just trying to coordinate a lunch. Everyone is just so busy right now. Thanks again for all the suggestions and for the great feedback on the site.

  8. We love Patrick’s burgers. They are on a sweet/sourdough bun and perfectly seasoned. I love the Brie burger.

  9. Hi Seth….what a great idea….I belong to  STARS: Singles Together Achieving Results!  They offer volunteers for events in Memphis….Do you need any volunteers?  Good Luck, Floy

  10. Sweet blog! I found it while searching on Yahoo News.
Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News?
I’ve been trying for a while but I never seem to get there!
    Many thanks
