Over the past weeks I’ve had the true pleasure of eating three burgers from the RAWK’N GRUB Food truck. Each one of these burgers is nothing short of creative genius. Chef Steph Cook has a very clear picture in head of what works on a burger and how to really combine flavors and textures to make each menu item a true treat for the tastebuds.

The burgers I ate were:

PATTI LA MELLTE – An 8oz Beef Patty Melt with Caramelized Onions, Smoked Gouda Pimento Cheese & Melted American on Grilled Wheatberry Bread.
Patti La Mellte

FEEL LIKE BACON LOVE – An 8oz Patty stuffed with Bacon, Sautéed Baby Bellas & Smoked Bleu Cheese then topped with Candief Bacon, Tomato Jam, Arugula & Garlic Peppercorn Aioli and served on a Fresh Brioche Bun.
Bacon Love

SETH (I HEAR YA CALLIN) – An 8oz Patty slathered in a Bulgogi Glaze, Sriracha Napa Slaw, Asian Pickled Vegetables & topped with (2) Mini-Kung Fu Al Green Spring Rolls.

All three of these burgers were off the charts. My last one, SETH (I HEAR YA CALLIN), which was named for me, was a little more done than I would have ordered it. I never specified a temp when ordering so I’ll take the blame for that one. Each of my other burgers from RAWK’N GRUB was right on the money between Medium Rare and Medium.

Also worthy of mention on the truck are the French Fries, the Al Green Kung Fu Spring Rolls and the Ain’t Nutter Butter Cheesecake Spring Rolls.

The fries are your standard hand cut fries that are served crisp and tossed in an amazing Cinnamon BBQ rub. They’re money! I just loved them. The Al Green Kung Spring Rolls are crazy delicious. They’re stuffed with Collard & Kimchi and served with a Sriracha Aioli Dipping Sauce. I promise you that sauce is DA BOMB dot com! Lastly, for dessert, you HAVE TO TRY the Ain’t Nutter Butter Cheesecake Spring Rolls. An order consists of 2 spring rolls stuffed with Banana Cheesecake, Nutter Butters, Bacon Crumbles and Peanut Butter and is served with a Caramel dipping sauce. Loosen you belt and dive in, it’s a game changer unlike any dessert you’ve ever had. I promise you!

I know I haven’t written in a bit. Been a little busy with Burger Fest. If I had to rate these burgers, they’d each top the charts with 4.5 Stars.  Chef Steph and crew have it going on for sure. As always step out of the box and give them a try. They’re all over town, but you can plan in advance by checking out their Website, Social Media or becoming a RAWK’N GRUB Groupie.

If you have a favorite burger that you think is Memphis’ best and should be reviewed on Best Memphis Burger, please drop a note in the suggestion box. If you’re interested in guest posting your favorite burger, send an email and let us know why.
