Today Tim and I wanted to get a good burger without the pressure of having to blog or critique everything about it. We just wanted to sit down enjoy a Best Memphis Burger. We looked at our leaderboard and both simultaneously said, “Stuffy’s.”

I really had no intention of writing anything today, but once again, it was a grand slam! Stuffy’s knocked that burger so far out of the park, I can’t think of any burgers at this time that can compare. Several come close, but none are a Stuffy’s burger.

Our burgers were thick, juicy, seasoned proportionately, topped with fresh fixin’s and just loaded with awesome flavor. The buns were once again a thick egg bun that were toasted perfectly and able to contain the flavor monsters we ordered. If you haven’t tried Stuffy’s yet, you’re really missing something good.

  1. I’ve been following your blog and for the most part I agree with your reviews. But I have to disagree with your reviews for Stuffy’s. I went there with my girlfriend after reading your 4.5 star review and was pretty disappointed. She ordered the small burger and I got the larger one. Hers was cooked so long that all the cheese had melted out and was burnt into a ring around the bottom of the burger patty. The inside was dry as a bone. Mine was cooked medium-well, and while this made it a step up from hers, it was still pretty dry. I prefer a nice bit of rare meat in the center. Seasoning was just ok. Maybe we caught them on a bad day, but it was a really poor experience.

    • I’ve had two really good experiences there. I read a negative comment on Yelp describing pretty poor and nonchalant service and one on Urbanspoon similar to your over cooked meal and some awful Christian Rock music. I didn’t see anything like that. Both times the food was excellent and the owners circulated the dining room checking on their customers. Both times my burger came out medium, just like I ordered it, crisp and brown on the outside, pink and juicy on the inside. If you give it another chance, let me know how it turns out.
